Álvaro Romero, born in Cadiz, is one of the contemporary flamenco great innovators. He is able to go from Lorca to the expressionism of Val del Omar. He is a sound tester and musical adventurer who gets genres and traditions together, as shown in the project created by the producer from Malaga Toni Martín, Romeromartín, uses electronic bases and traditional singing as a start point to musicalize lyrics of homosexual poets like the Chilean Pedro Lemebel. He offers a ground-breaking and risky proposal that show that there are still unexplored paths within flamenco.
