The young singer and dancer from San Lucar Naike Ponce, grew up in Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz, Sevilla and Utrera. She was discovered by the legendary singer ‘La Sallago’, who taught her the wisdom of singing from the guts and the heart.
Naike has a powerful and thick voice, a mature timbre, managed with versatility and smoothness.
She started her singer career working at the best “peñas” and festivals in Andalucia, where she built herself a name in the flamenco circles. This encouraged her to move to Madrid, city where whe definitevely settled down as an artist. Once in Madrid she participated in great shows like the musical ‘Cómplices’, and worked with great artists such as Jorge Pardo, Estrella Morente, Manolo Sanlúcar, Manolo Soler, Caramelo, Dany Noel, Yelsy Heredia, Israel Varela, Piraña, María Vargas, Chano Lobato, Pansequito, Rancapino, Matilde Coral, Paco Taranto, Naranjito de Triana, among many others.
Juan José Suárez ‘Paquete’, is a guitarist descent of the renowned saga ‘Los Porrina’, and a successful producer who has obtained two Grammy awards. Together with Enrique Heredia ‘El Negri’, he was part of the successful and unforgettable new flamenco band ‘La Barbería del Sur’.
‘Mr. Pakett’ is his main solo play. This work is considered a turning point that instilled a new concept in guitar playing travelling from the most orthodox flamenco to the most original jazz. Paquete is currently one of the great models of the current artistic environment.
