Even before she was born, María Terremoto was already feeling flamenco inside her as part of what life would pump in her veins, an innate gift. She grew up listening to the echo of the greatest artists from Jerez that used to share their life lessons with her father, the great Fernando Terremoto.
With ‘La Huella de mi sentío’ (Traces of my feelings) María wanted to capture the songs that have accompanied her since she was a little girl and that have influenced the path of her career: the traditional flamenco and the orthodox flamenco, both brought up to date to fit the current sound of the “cante jondo”.
María Terremoto has a professional career full of good critics. She was the youngest artist to obtain the ‘Giraldillo Revelación’ award at the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, as well as the ‘La Venecia Flamenca de Los Palacios’ award, among other renowned prizes. The press refers to her as the archetype of the young singing.
