Alive History of Spanish music, Los Chichos are the synonym of “rumba” a style that they help make Worldwide renowned. The band was formed in 1973, and they were responsible for one of the Spanish music phenomena when they reached sales of 20 million record, wining a place in Spain’s pop culture. Their songs about the life in working-class neighborhoods and their sound somewhere between rumba and rock made an impression in the popular imagination and made them become a myth. In 1990 they started a new phase, already without Juan Antonio Jiménez, “Jeros” but with the son of Emilio Gonzalez Gabarre in the band, that continued to represent a music style already settled down in the Spanish scenes and that reached a peak with the album “Hasta aquí hemos llegado” (We have gotten this far) (2008). At Flamenco on Fire they will review a whole life devoted to the rumba.
