Jesús de Rosario

Born in Madrid at the Cañorroto neighborhood, Jesús del Rosario began to play the guitar at the age of five, under the guidance of his father, El Entri.  At the age of 15 he joined the Antonio Canales company, and later collaborated with the bailaora Merche Esmeralda as musical director of the show «Mujeres» (Women). He has also accompanied other dance figures such as El Güito, Carmen Cortés, Joaquín Cortés, Rafael Amargo or Eva la Hierbabuena, and cante figures such as Potito, Diego El Cigala, José Mercé, Miguel Poveda, Montse Cortés or Remedios Amaya. In 1998 he created the music for the shows “Sensaciones” (Emotions) and “Sueños” (Dreams) by Sara Baras, with whom he made several tours around the World. In 2000 he composed the music for “Juana La Loca” (triple winner at the Max Awards) which premiered at the Seville Flamenco Biennial. He has recently composed music for the shows “Minotauro” by Antonio Canales and “También muere el mar” (The sea also dies) by Carmen Cortés. After this long career as a backing guitarist, the album “Sin Tanto” (Without so much) is his solo debut, a work in which bulerías, rondeñas and rumbas stand out, and for which he has the collaborations of Sara Baras, Tomatito, Antonio Carmona and Bernardo Parrilla, among others.
