Two great figures of different generations get together in Flamenco on Fire. Juan Manuel Fenandez Montoya, “Farruquito” (Sevilla, 1982) represents the art and the vigor of the dance. He comes from a legendary flamenco saga and made his debut in Broadway when he was 5. At 12 he danced for Carlos Saura in the movie Flamenco. When he was 15, after his grandfather Farruco died, he presented his first own show “Raices Flamencas” (Flamenco Roots). In 2001 he got international recognition with “Farruquito y familia” (Farruquito and family), a show that was followed by many other such as “Improvisao” (Improvised) (2015), that was also presented in Flamenco on Fire.
This time he returns to Pamplona with “Intimo” (Intimate), a flamenco show that emerges from loneliness. The heart-searching after 30 years on the stage is the common thread of a live show that originates from the most traditional dancing styles (Seguiriyas, Tangos, Alegrias, Bulerias and Soleares) to express his evolution in a naked, spontaneous and very personal format. On stage he will be accompanied by Maria Dolores Amaya Vega “Remedios Amaya” (Sevilla, 1962), a signer that represents tradition and purity of style within flamenco. Born in Triana, she released her first solo album at the end of the 70´s and since then she has developed an extensive and productive career that has taken her to partner with artists like Diego Carrasco or to publish an album produced by Alejandro Sanz.
