He is a harmonica virtuoso, an idol in the Spanish jazz environment and one of the most requested session musicians thanks to his adaptability which allows him to move comfortably within several genres. He has a classic background and when he was 13, he already participated at the Gala Classic Aid II in Paris conducted by Lorin Maazel. After working with several symphonic orchestras throughout Europe, he started to explore jazz and flamenco and became member of Paco de Lucia´s band with whom he toured for 10 years. Apart from the project Veinte Veinte (Twenty Twenty) that he will feature at this year´s Flamenco on Fire, Serrano is currently working in a version for harmonica and orchestra of El sombrero de tres picos (The Three-Cornered Hat) by Manuel de Falla.
