Documental: "Terremoto de Jerez, el documental"
This work directed by Álvaro Maroyal and Ignacio Rojas is a tribute to one of the most heartbreaking figures in the history of flamenco singing: Terremoto de Jerez, for many, the most expressive echo in the history of the flamenco genre. The word, in him, took on a different meaning and was combined with emotion, even to the point of breaking down. Terremoto is trance. Viscerality. And through his life and work, that of a gypsy cantaor who was born in Andalusia in the 1930s and died in the early 1980s shortly after finishing a performance, the audience is able to delve into a breeding ground that makes art stained with rage possible.
