Son of the singer Martirio, he learned to love music since the cradle. He grew up within the counter-culture atmosphere of Seville in the 70’s and he started his music career as drummer and guitar player. After a promising career start, he is currently a great musician, producer, author and composer.
He studied music and cultural anthropology to better understand the nature of popular music and, thanks to his trips and intense approach to Latin American music, he was able to attach, for the first time, the Tres Cubano to flamenco. This led him to design a new instrument: the Tres Flamenco.
Raúl Rodríguez, will open the series ‘Flamenco en Los Balcones 2017’ with a small recital in Calle Mañueta.
